Never ASSUME or make on-site contact with the property owner orbusiness owner if it is not specified in writing on your assignmentinstructions.

In all of my years of manydifferent type inspections, I never experienced any problems or difficulties. Ihave always followed company instructions.

It isimportant to realize that some areas you may be assigned could be unsafe. Youshould be aware of these locations and decide if you will accept theassignment.

You ask the question, could inspecting unsafe areas make youmore valuable and or the assignment pay higher fees?

I suggest you value yoursafety more than being concerned with earnings in unsafe or hazardousconditions and or receiving higher fees. Leave this type assignment to theseasoned experts.

The Field InspectionsIndustry should provide professional conditions. You are not expected to act asa Debt Collector in any circumstance; unless, you accepted this type assignmentand or interview. Being a Debt Collector or Investigator are significantly differentpositions than a Field Inspector and the fee rates are much different.

The objective is to send your resumes to companies; and continue to do so until you obtain assignments; and you begin to work for enough companies whereby you can earn a high and quality income.

Please Review the below scenario:

You most probably, under normal circumstances, should never accept any assignment that earns you less than $20 to $25.

It is always your decision based upon the amount of the work the company offers you.

If you would like to discount your services for larger amounts of assignments, you may.

There are many different scenarios to the above statement as the work and type business of the Field Service Inspection Rep varies with assignments in periods of week, day or month.

(Note: you should try to accept assignments from 7 to 10 different companies to maintain work flow).

3) Some inspections reimburse you specified amounts for photos, mileage and other related expenses.

(Note: all specs are documented prior to accepting any assignments).

4) Home business expenses are not to be a part of your assignment reimbursements.

(Note: the cost of being in your own business is not included as "assignment expense" it is "business expense".

You should contact an accountant or CPA for further definition and understanding on the differences.
Additionally, it is very helpful to use an accounting software application such as Quicken or others.

There are some genuine home-based-businesses.

Although many work-at-home opportunities offered on the Internet or direct mail can be scams, there are some that are legitimate.

I searched out a great number to find that many were not what they were hyped up to be in the sales pitch. I simply reverted back to a business I have been in for many years prior . This was being a Field Service Inspector Representative.

I also applied my computer technology toward a few different areas, however, I will discuss only
HOW TO BE A FIELD SERVICE INFORMATION AND TRAINING GUIDE EBOOK in this article.

I was fortunate enough to earn a great income in a wonderful industry that is honest and free from fraud.

I know of very few home-based-businesses or work-at-home opportunities that you can start with very little up front expenses. Yet, this business requires only a car with insurance, a phone and answering machine, a measuring wheel, a map and a place to complete your fill-in forms, and a camera (digital is better). It is advantageous if you have a fax machine and a computer.

If you do not have a fax machine, you can use Office Depot, Staples and many other Fax Services such as UPS stores. If you do not have a camera, you will have to purchase one. Digital Cameras pricing ranges from $20+. A good digital camera can be purchased for under $50. If you do not have a computer, you can access one at your public library. If you do not have your own computer, you can have a drugstore or other super center put your digital pictures on a disk or cd-rom. This will enable you to send your photos to the company whom you are reporting your assignments to. Or you can take them to the Library and email them to their designated email address.

It is not difficult to successfully become a Field Representative in the Inspection of Property, Businesses, Merchant Accounts, Equipment and other type collateral including owner investor companies.

You have to understand that it is not a get rich quick scheme! It is honest, legitimate and very rewarding.

You are given the opportunity to provide companies such as mortgage and finance investment firms with returned reporting information that is very important and necessary to their success or failure in making loans, insuring equipment and or properties, financing businesses and supplying business merchant accounts. Those are only a few of the type report assignments offered. There are many more. It can include interviews, verifications and confirmations of collateral or even events.

One example of a certain type interview is with a home owner that may be late on their mortgage payments. The current rate of Foreclosures has increased the need for local interviews. If a company in California has a loan on a property in Texas, their only alternative is to hire a contractor to visit the property and interview the mortgagee. The mortgagor requires a formal visit to learn the real circumstances of the late payments.

After all, the owner of the home may not be living in the property, may be ill, may have lost their job or experiences other circumstances that have forced a hardship in their life. Simply calling someone on the phone or sending letters will not provide the lender with the actual facts. Nor will it allow the important visual aids necessary to make intelligent decisions to assist the home owner.

This is where you can assist. Companies will hire contractors to report on the condition of the property and the actual ability to contact in person the borrower of the loan.

The lender requiring the information will provide special forms you can fill in. You can also provide your own summary of what you have been able to learn or see. For example, the property can be in very good condition or be in need of many repairs. They will ask you to take some pictures of the interior and the exterior of the home. Every fact and detail will help the lender make a good judgment on how to proceed with the borrowing home owner.

There is no sales to sell any product. The only sales is selling yourself in a positive appearance and action. It is not necessary you dress in any other attire but casual. You should not be wearing short shorts, unsightly garments or pants with holes or any other type apparel that is unprofessional.

You may not have to interview the homeowner. You may only have to drive by and take a picture of the exterior and comment on the condition of the property.

You may be assigned to Fitness Center and verify that the equipment is all in working condition and all safety measures are in place within the establishment.

There are so many more types of Field Service Inspection reporting needs that I wrote an ebook training guide to assist others in the industry to find assignments and learn more about the overall business.
